Independence would imply operating apart from God’s help, which undercuts holiness. Receptive describes openness to the Spirit, which is part of dependence, but doesn’t fully express the active stance of relying on Him. Aligned suggests agreement with God and His purposes, but dependence emphasizes the ongoing need for His empowering presence to live out holiness.
